Meet The People Of Axelent – Emma Lindelöf, HR Site Manager

Emma Lindelöf joined Axelent in the autumn of 2022 and currently works with HR for both Axelent AB Sweden and Axelent Nordic. With experience from a large global organization and a strong commitment to people, culture and development, she plays an important role in driving Axelent’s People & Culture agenda forward.

Can you describe your role and briefly share your background before joining Axelent?

Before joining Axelent in the autumn of 2022, I worked at Husqvarna Group, first as a Compensation & Benefits Specialist and later as an HR Business Partner. It was a very educational period in a large, global organization, and I bring valuable knowledge and experience from that time with me.

In my current role, I am responsible for driving the HR agenda for Axelent AB Sweden and Axelent Nordic. This includes supporting our managers in all HR-related matters, as well as working closely with the entire People & Culture team to ensure that our HR processes are aligned with Axelent’s overall strategy and goals.

“What really matters is that we don’t just communicate our values but live them and act in line with them our everyday work.”

Emma Lindelöf, HR Site Manager

What are our values, and how do you see them in everyday work?

I believe we are good at communicating our values and making them visible in everyday work. They are reflected in presentations, pulse boards, team-building activities and performance review discussions. However, that is only the first, more visual part of working with values.

What really matters is that we also feel our values and act in line with them in our daily work.

To me, our values mean:

Brave and passionate: daring to challenge how we work, drive change, and stand up for your opinions and values.

Taking responsibility: keeping your promises and taking responsibility for your area and your actions.

Inclusive: actively involving different perspectives in decisions and discussions.

I believe it’s important that each employee reflects on what the values mean to them personally. That makes it easier to truly embrace them and act accordingly. Our next step is to anchor the values even more deeply and work with them actively in everyday situations.  We have many exciting ideas ahead to make them even more visible through our behaviors.

How do you recharge and stay motivated in what can be an intense HR role?

For me, the feeling that I’m doing something meaningful is what keeps my motivation high. When the workload is heavy and the pace is intense, I try to pause and reflect on how far we’ve come, how much we’ve achieved in a short time, and all the exciting challenges and opportunities ahead.

That reflection both motivates me and makes me proud to be part of Axelent.

Which HR topic do you believe will become even more important in the coming years?

I see competence supply and talent acquisition as one of the most important HR topics moving forward. It’s already widely discussed today, but it’s also a major societal challenge that affects all organizations and HR functions, [LH2.1]and a complex issue to solve.

Alongside this, I believe values and organizational culture will become increasingly important in order to be an attractive employer, something we truly strive to be. It’s not just about attracting new talent, but also about retaining skills and building long-term engagement.

I believe future generations will increasingly choose employers that share their values, both in terms of internal culture, how companies engage with society, and the type of products or services they deliver.

“Values and organizational culture will be just as important as skills when it comes to attracting and retaining talent.”

What’s the best thing about working at Axelent?

The best thing about working at Axelent, in my experience, is the feeling that nothing is impossible. We truly dare to invest and believe in what we do. People & Culture is high on the agenda, which makes both my work and the entire team’s work incredibly stimulating and rewarding.

And of course, our purpose, making the world safer is in itself deeply motivating.
